Electrostatic Precipitators

General description and operating principles.

Ash Handling System

Overview of bottom and fly ash handling system.

Water Chemistry

Treatment of water. Boiler water chemistry.
Chemical dosing for conditioning of boiler water.

Different types of pumps with their operating principles. Motor-driven and Steam-driven Boiler Feed Pumps with operational interlocks.

Heaters

Functions and benefits of low and high pressure heaters i.e. regenerative cycles with their interlocks and protections. Construction features and functions of de-aerator heater.

Compressed Air System

General description of service and control air compressors with air drier system.

Service Water System

General description of service water system.

8.

Cooling Tower

General description of Forced cooling and Natural draft cooling system.

Automatic Turbine Run-Up System (ATRS)

Preparation for Emergency and Natural Calamities.

  • •  Flood Preparedness - Before and after Flood and Recovery Position.
  • •  Survey of the facility/plant by the experts and furnishing guidelines about the requirement such as Escape route planning, Emergency Exits, identifying safe assembly Point, Checking Fire Alarm and Public Addressing System/Siren.
  • •  Conducting co-ordination meeting with the QRT (Quick Response Team) members such as Evacuation, Fire fighting, First Aid, Salvage, Communication and Rescue Team Members. This meeting is to be conducted on the same day of Evacuation Drill for duration of 1 hour.
